CurrencyMe Appoints John Cookson to Lead Client Services
CurrencyMe, a newly established foreign exchange and banking consultancy on the Isle of Man, has appointed John Cookson as the head of client services. In this role, Cookson will engage closely with clients in key sectors, which include luxury asset transactions, iGaming, trusts, and family offices, to provide tailored support and enhance client satisfaction.
With over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, Cookson brings a wealth of expertise to CurrencyMe. His previous roles encompass senior positions in wealth management, treasury management, banking services, and foreign exchange solutions, both locally and internationally.
Craig Wolstencroft, owner and managing director of CurrencyMe, emphasized the significance of Cookson’s appointment, stating, “John’s appointment reflects our commitment to building CurrencyMe around client success. His extensive background and proven track record will help us establish lasting relationships and deliver tailored solutions for clients on the Isle of Man and internationally.”
In expressing his enthusiasm for the new position, Cookson remarked, “I’m excited to be part of CurrencyMe at such a pivotal stage. My focus will be on ensuring every client feels supported, understood, and confident in their financial decisions, no matter how complex their international exposure may be.”
CurrencyMe’s Strategic Approach to Client Services
When CurrencyMe launched last month, a spokesperson noted that the firm aims to provide value-added services for clients engaged in high-value transactions, such as purchasing aircraft, yachts, and property. The consultancy also seeks to support various international industries, including iGaming, trusts, and family offices.
The company’s mission is to simplify the complexities of cross-border finance, offering clarity and confidence to clients navigating this intricate landscape. Wolstencroft previously stated that the launch of CurrencyMe represents a new approach to tackling foreign exchange and banking challenges on the Isle of Man. He added, “Our goal is to simplify the process and provide trusted, straightforward solutions for clients on the Isle of Man and internationally by using our exclusive partners.”
As CurrencyMe continues to expand its presence, the firm aims to establish itself as a leader in foreign exchange and banking consultancy, focusing on the unique needs of its diverse client base. Cookson’s expertise will be instrumental in driving this vision forward, ensuring that CurrencyMe delivers exceptional service while fostering meaningful relationships with clients.
