Dog Groomer Victoria Quinlan Fights Puppy Farming Ahead of Miss England

Victoria Quinlan, a dog groomer and beauty queen from Oldham, is using her platform to address the urgent issue of puppy farming as she prepares for the Miss England finals in November 2025. Quinlan’s advocacy stems from a deeply emotional visit to MBR Acres, a breeding facility in Cambridgeshire, where beagles are bred for laboratory research and testing.
During her visit, Quinlan joined a protest organized by Camp Beagle, an animal rights group dedicated to ending the use of dogs in chemical testing. The experience left her “shocked” as she heard the distressing sounds of dogs barking in apparent anguish. In a heartfelt video, Quinlan expressed her sorrow, stating, “Picturing [my dog] as a little puppy and then being taken away… the end of his life is just horrific.”
The facility is known for its controversial practices, where dogs are subjected to a range of chemical tests. Quinlan described the conditions as “awful,” noting that many of these puppies have never seen daylight or experienced human interaction. She observed that vans arrive regularly to transport the dogs to various testing locations across the UK, where they are forced to inhale harmful chemicals.
Quinlan’s motivation to raise awareness about puppy farming is rooted in her belief that there are more humane alternatives for product testing. “They should be able to know that certain things aren’t suitable for humans and find a different way to start testing these products rather than on these innocent dogs,” she asserted, emphasizing the need for change in the industry.
In addition to her advocacy work, Quinlan is committed to running 100 miles over the next two months to raise funds for Camp Beagle, which supports efforts to rescue and rehabilitate dogs affected by these practices. Her fundraising initiative aligns with her participation in the upcoming Miss England competition, where she aims to draw attention to the plight of these animals.
As she prepares for the pageant, Quinlan hopes her platform will encourage more people to join the fight against puppy farming. The emotional connection between humans and dogs is a driving force behind her campaign, and she is determined to ensure that the voices of these animals are heard.
For those interested in supporting Victoria Quinlan’s campaign and raising awareness about puppy farming, further information is available on her fundraising page. Through her efforts, she aims to inspire action and promote a more compassionate approach to animal welfare in the UK and beyond.
