Katie Price has disclosed that she is undergoing medical evaluations following troubling symptoms related to her past battle with cancer. The 47-year-old television personality has reported recurring pain in her finger, the same site where she was previously diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, leiomyosarcoma, 23 years ago.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Price expressed her concerns about her health, noting weight loss and low energy levels as additional symptoms. She revealed that doctors are currently investigating these issues, including a low blood platelet count that has been linked to her fatigue and potential weight fluctuations.

“I’ve had my bloods done, and I’ve got really low platelets,” Price explained. “I thought that was low iron, and it’s not. That could be a reason why maybe I’ve got thinner. I’m tired, no energy.” She mentioned that medical professionals suggested she might need a blood transfusion to address the low platelet count and will require additional blood tests soon.

Katie Price’s previous experience with cancer occurred while she was pregnant with her eldest son, Harvey. In 2002, she developed leiomyosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer, prompting a series of MRIs and medical assessments over several years until she was declared cancer-free.

Reflecting on her past, Price recounted, “When I was pregnant with Harvey, I got cancer. If you look at my finger, there is like a hole there and a scar. I had it cut out twice.” She recalled initially disregarding the pain in her finger, attributing it to an injury from riding. However, the pain persisted, prompting her to seek further medical attention.

The former glamour model expressed her fears about the recurrence of cancer, stating, “This better not be my bad news, and get bad results, because all this is happening, and then normally in my life something good happens and then something bad happens.” Her sister, Sophie Price, offered reassurance during the podcast, urging her to maintain a positive outlook.

Katie’s journey through cancer has been marked by significant personal challenges. Just 11 weeks before her cancer diagnosis, she received the news that her son Harvey was blind and had Prader-Willi Syndrome. She remarked on the emotional toll of her diagnosis, recalling the moment she told her mother about her condition. “I just remember going: ‘Mum, just to let you know, they found cancer’,” she said, reflecting on the weight of her experiences.

As she navigates these new health concerns, Katie Price remains hopeful for positive outcomes. The public continues to support her as she addresses these challenges and prioritizes her health and well-being.
