Ryanair Unveils 13 New Winter Routes from Belfast for 2025

Ryanair has announced the addition of 13 new routes from Belfast as part of its Winter 2025 schedule. This expansion includes popular destinations known for winter sun, such as Alicante, Faro, Lanzarote, and Malaga, alongside attractive city break options in Budapest, Gdansk, Kaunas, and Krakow. Flights are available starting from just £29.99.
The airline’s new schedule represents a significant investment of approximately $200 million, which is expected to support over 1,000 local jobs and stimulate year-round tourism in the region. Ryanair’s Director of Communications, Jade Kirwan, highlighted the commitment to enhancing travel options for Northern Ireland residents, stating, “Ryanair is pleased to launch our Belfast Winter 2025 schedule, with 13 routes to popular winter getaway destinations, giving our customers in Northern Ireland even more choice at the lowest fares.”
Ryanair’s Commitment to Growth in the UK
Kirwan further emphasized the need for competitiveness in the UK market, urging Labour MP Rachel Reeves to take action by abolishing the Air Passenger Duty (APD). She noted that countries across Europe, including Sweden, Hungary, and Albania, have seen benefits from eliminating environmental taxes, leading to increased traffic and tourism.
“She has failed to deliver any growth in the first 12 months of the new Labour Government, but she can reverse this failure by scrapping APD to make UK air travel and tourism competitive once more,” Kirwan said.
According to Dan Owens, CEO of Belfast International Airport, Ryanair’s announcement solidifies its commitment to the local market. He stated, “Ryanair will offer local passengers greater choice and connectivity with fantastic routes on offer this winter.” Owens also mentioned that the winter season would see increased capacity on key domestic routes to Manchester, Edinburgh, and London Stansted, along with more frequent flights to Alicante.
Booking and Future Prospects
The full Winter 2025 schedule from Ryanair is now available for booking at Ryanair.com, with flights to and from Belfast starting at £29.99. This new initiative not only aims to enhance travel options for residents in Northern Ireland but also seeks to drive economic growth through increased tourism and connectivity.
As the airline prepares to introduce this expanded schedule, it remains focused on its long-term goal of delivering growth across its 22 UK airports, supported by the introduction of 340 new Boeing aircraft over the next eight years.
