The IPA World Congress + Probiota Global 2026 is set to take place at Dublin’s Convention Centre from February 11-13, 2026. This three-day event aims to blend insights from both industry and academia while providing valuable networking opportunities. Hosted by NutraIngredients in collaboration with the International Probiotics Association, the congress will gather key stakeholders to discuss advancements in microbiome science.

The program will delve into seven key themes, explored through interactive presentations, debates, and engaging networking events. A highlight of the event is the Probiota Social Evening, which offers participants a chance to connect in a relaxed setting.

Showcasing Innovation in Microbiome Science

Two significant components of the event are returning for 2026: Probiota Pioneers and Scientific Frontiers. Probiota Pioneers is a competition that showcases consumer-facing science and technology start-ups in the microbiome field. It provides an opportunity for both businesses and academics to gain visibility among influential stakeholders.

In previous years, the competition has attracted innovative concepts, including WellVine, an alcohol-free prebiotic beverage made from leftover Chardonnay grapes, and Preebio, which develops protein-based prebiotic products designed to target specific bacteria in the gut. This year, the competition is expected to draw considerable interest, particularly from emerging entrepreneurs in the functional food and beverage sectors.
