The popular takeaway, Dilshad Tandoori, has been named the best takeaway at the prestigious English Curry Awards for the second consecutive year. This recognition came after a public vote, with the awards ceremony held on August 11, 2023, at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham. Established in 2001, the takeaway has become a staple in the village of Stakeford, known for its commitment to quality and customer service.

Celebrating a Winning Legacy

Owned by brothers-in-law Raju Ahmed and Kamal Bari, Dilshad Tandoori has transformed family ties into a successful enterprise. Following their victory, co-owner Raju Ahmed expressed gratitude to their loyal customers. “We are privileged to hold on to the title of best takeaway of the year consecutively. A massive thank you to all our customers who have nominated Dilshad and have felt that we deserve this prestigious award,” he stated.
