The body of a woman has been discovered at the base of cliffs in Sandsend, near Whitby, marking the fourth body found in the area within just three days. Authorities from North Yorkshire Police confirmed that the remains were located behind the main car park at approximately 11:01 a.m. on July 31, 2023, following a report from a passerby.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, is believed to be in her 50s and a local resident. The police have stated that they are not treating her death as suspicious. This tragic incident follows the deaths of two individuals, a man and a woman in their 40s, who fell from the cliffs on July 30, as well as another woman in her 60s, discovered near the cliffs the day before.
