Russian Woman Arrested in Montenegro for Attempted Murder of Partner

A 33-year-old Russian woman, identified as V.M., has been arrested in Bar, Montenegro, on charges of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her partner, a 24-year-old Turkish citizen named T.B.. The incident occurred in the early hours of February 12, 2024, following a heated argument between the couple.

According to the Police Administration of Montenegro, officers responded to a report from the General Hospital in Bar about a foreign national who had been admitted for treatment of stab wounds to the abdomen. Medical staff confirmed that the victim, T.B., sustained serious injuries classified as life-threatening by a specialist doctor.

The police began their investigation by bringing V.M. in for questioning. It is reported that the stabbing took place at a rented apartment after a brief verbal and physical altercation. The authorities were able to determine the nature of the injuries and the circumstances surrounding the event swiftly.

Following the collection of necessary information and evidence, the police acted on the directive of the state prosecutor from the High State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica.
