Sam Thompson Reflects on Reunion with Ex Samie Elishi at Event

Sam Thompson, the former star of *Made in Chelsea*, has opened up about his recent encounter with ex-girlfriend Samie Elishi at a hair event in London, just weeks after their breakup. The two were spotted together at Shoreditch House during a REHAB event, sparking interest among fans and followers.
In the latest episode of his podcast *Staying Relevant*, hosted with close friend Pete Wicks, Thompson described the evening as “really lovely.” He expressed that they enjoyed a meaningful conversation, stating, “We just spent a lot of time having a chat, having a chinwag, just such an epic chat.” This positive interaction followed their split, which was reportedly amicable.
Thompson humorously noted that Elishi seemed to care more about Wicks than him during their catch-up, adding, “She loves you. She did ask about you. She seemed to care more about you than me really.” He also dismissed rumors suggesting that they returned home together, clarifying that it was simply a nice moment to reconnect.
Focus on Personal Growth
After navigating two breakups in quick succession, Thompson is taking time for self-reflection. He shared on the podcast, “I’m going to work on myself, no dating. I’m not ready. I realised that.” This commitment to personal growth comes after his relationship with Elishi ended due to their demanding schedules, which made maintaining the relationship challenging. A source familiar with the situation noted, “It was a mutual thing and there is no bad blood between them. They both just have really busy schedules, particularly Sam who has been non-stop recently.”
The REHAB event, held at the popular Shoreditch venue, was a star-studded affair, featuring Mel C from the Spice Girls DJing. Thompson was also seen mingling with former co-stars Lucy Watson and her husband James Dunmore. During the event, Elishi approached Thompson, and the two shared a warm hug, indicating that their friendship remains intact.
A Brief Romance
Thompson and Elishi’s relationship was confirmed in early May 2023 when they were spotted sharing a kiss outside a birthday celebration for fellow reality star Olivia Attwood. Although they chose not to publicize their relationship extensively on social media, Thompson praised Elishi during previous podcast episodes, describing her as “a really awesome chick” and “super down to earth.”
The couple’s brief romance followed Thompson’s previous relationship with Zara McDermott. Despite the challenges in their recent romance, both Thompson and Elishi have expressed a desire to remain friends, underscoring that sometimes, relationships evolve in ways that require understanding and maturity.
