The play, adapted by renowned playwright Alan Bennett, is a delightful retelling of the adventures of Ratty, Mole, Badger, and the irrepressible Toad. Bennett’s version is celebrated for its wit and charm, capturing the essence of a simpler time when leisurely picnics and river excursions were the highlights of life.
The Tilbourne Players have assembled a “very talented cast” to portray these iconic characters, promising an “impressive and appealing” show that will resonate with both long-time fans and new audiences. Performances will commence at 19:30, with a special matinee at 14:00 on Saturday, November 28.
Tickets for this enchanting theatrical experience are priced at £13 and can be purchased through the official website, www.tilbourneplayers.org.uk.
As the curtain rises on this classic tale, attendees can expect to be transported back to the idyllic riverbank setting, where friendship and adventure await. The Tilbourne Players are eager to welcome theatre enthusiasts to enjoy this timeless story in a modern context.
