Stefan Dennis Reassures Fans After Missing Strictly Come Dancing

Stefan Dennis, known for his role in Neighbours, has provided an update to fans after he missed the live show of Strictly Come Dancing last weekend due to illness. The actor was advised by medical professionals to take a break, which led to his absence during the show’s Movie Week.

In a recent appearance on The One Show on October 15, Dennis reassured viewers, stating he is “good as gold.” Alongside his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, he expressed his excitement about returning to the competition. Presenter Vernon Kay highlighted their preparations for an upcoming Charleston routine, described as “probably the most difficult” dance on the BBC programme.

Dennis responded with humor, remarking, “Thanks for that!” He acknowledged the pressure but expressed newfound confidence about the upcoming performance scheduled for October 18. “It’s funny because, as I was saying to Dianne today, I said for the first time, I’m actually starting to feel really confident about doing the dance and actually wanting to do it,” he shared.

Previously, Dennis admitted to feeling apprehensive about dancing, stating he had experienced fear regarding each routine. However, he noted some progress, saying, “I’ve had fear of every single dance even though, you know, sometimes I’ve got a little bit right.”

Buswell confirmed that their rehearsals were going well, despite a rocky start earlier in the week. “A little rocky Monday, but you know, as it goes on, he learns more and more about the dance and I think it’s going to be a good dance for us,” she stated.

Last week, Strictly Come Dancing updated fans on social media, explaining that Dennis was unable to perform due to his health. The post stated, “Due to illness over the past few days, Stefan Dennis has been advised to rest and, as a result, he will not dance this weekend. In line with the rules of Strictly, Stefan and Dianne will receive a bye through to next week, when they will hopefully be able to dance again.”

As fans eagerly await Dennis’s return, the actor’s positive outlook and determination suggest he is ready to embrace the challenges ahead on the dance floor.
