Police Launch Search for Missing Scots Woman Believed in England

A missing person investigation has been initiated following the disappearance of a woman from Scotland. Shannon Mitchell, aged 36, was last seen on Monday, October 6, 2025, around 11:00. She reportedly left her home in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, and is believed to have traveled to the North East of England.

Police Scotland has expressed growing concern for Shannon’s safety. According to authorities, she is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with shoulder-length auburn hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a distinctive white Adidas hoodie featuring an Irish flag leaf logo, paired with black Dr Martens boots and black leggings.

Police Sergeant Stephen Donaghy from the Irvine Police Office has requested that anyone who may have seen Shannon contact the authorities. “We are growing increasingly concerned for Shannon who is believed to have travelled to North East England,” he stated.
