Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie Launch New Audio Project on Quinn
A new era for fans of queer sports romance has begun as co-stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie unveil their joint audio project on the platform Quinn. This initiative arrives shortly after the successful conclusion of their series, Heated Rivalry, which has captured the hearts of viewers since its debut in November 2025.
Adapted from the novels of Rachel Reid, Heated Rivalry explores a secret relationship between two rival ice hockey players: Shane Hollander from Canada and Ilya Rozanov from Russia. The series, known for its enemies-to-lovers narrative, delves into themes of LGBTQ+ identity within the realm of elite sports. Following its first season finale on December 25, 2025, the show has achieved remarkable success, ranking as the number one series on HBO Max Australia and second in the United States.
Viewership statistics reveal that the series saw a dramatic increase of nearly 400% in Canada during its initial week, amassing over one million views within just 13 days of its release. The final episode aired on Christmas Day, coinciding with the teaser release from Quinn, hinting at a new project featuring its leads. The teaser, which included an image of two director’s chairs adorned with hockey gear, sparked excitement among fans eager for more content linked to the series.
Following the initial teaser, Quinn released a second sneak peek referencing a beloved dish from Ilya Rozanov, further building anticipation. On December 27, 2025, the platform confirmed the project, sharing images from the set that highlighted Williams’ distinctive tattoo. The announcement revealed that the duo would be voicing an upcoming Quinn Original titled Ember and Ice, offering fans a new narrative experience.
Founded by CEO Caroline Spiegel, Quinn specializes in audio-erotica, aiming to provide listeners with engaging stories narrated by popular voices. The platform has previously featured talents such as Manny Jacinto and Victoria Pedretti. Ember and Ice is designed as a standalone project, diverging from the hockey setting of Heated Rivalry. Early teasers suggest a plot structure that shifts from “strangers to lovers to enemies,” hinting at a blend of romance and fantasy.
In a later promotional clip, Williams and Storrie appear donned in wings while a passage from The Song of Achilles is read aloud, further emphasizing the romantic themes of their new project. Unlike much of the content on Quinn, Ember and Ice will feature a male-male romance without a reader-insert character, offering a fresh perspective for listeners.
The first two episodes of Ember and Ice are set to be released on December 30, 2025, at 00:00 PT / 03:00 ET / 08:00 GMT. Access to the series requires a subscription, priced at approximately £6.30 (around $7.99) monthly or £47.00 (approximately $59.99) annually.
As anticipation builds for this new project, fans of both Heated Rivalry and queer sports romance alike are eager to see how Williams and Storrie translate their on-screen chemistry into an audio format.
