Tiny Town Soft Play and Café Welcomes 600 Visitors in First Week

A new family-oriented venue, Tiny Town Soft Play and Café, opened its doors on New Beetwell Street in Chesterfield, attracting over 600 children and adults during its opening week. This facility features farm-themed role play areas and a soft play frame designed to support children’s physical development and energy release.
Karen Parnham, one of the owners, expressed her excitement about the initial response, stating, “It’s so lovely to finally see parents and their little ones come to visit, after working so hard on creating Tiny Town Soft Play & Café over the summer.” The launch of Tiny Town has also resulted in the creation of eight new job opportunities, all of which have been filled by a diverse team of staff members.
As the third site in the Tiny Town franchise, following locations in Barlborough and Aston, the Chesterfield venue stands out as the largest of the three. Parnham noted that the facility offers 90-minute play sessions throughout the week, designed for various age groups. “Every child is welcome at Tiny Town,” she added.
To enhance the customer experience, Tiny Town implements a booking system. This allows adults to reserve tables for their sessions, eliminating the hassle of scrambling for seats or sharing tables with other guests. The café within the play area serves food, drinks, and snacks during play sessions, while a separate café space at the front of the building is open to the general public throughout the day.
Looking ahead, Tiny Town has plans to expand its offerings. Parnham mentioned intentions to create a party room within the main play area for children’s birthday celebrations. Additionally, they plan to upgrade the flooring and install an air flow system to improve the overall environment.
The successful launch of Tiny Town Soft Play and Café reflects a growing demand for family-friendly activities in Chesterfield, providing a space where children can play and develop while parents enjoy a relaxing atmosphere.
