Montenegro’s President Welcomes New Ambassadors from Four Nations
President Jakov Milatović of Montenegro received letters of credence from newly appointed ambassadors from four countries during a formal ceremony in Cetinje. The ambassadors represent the Slovak Republic, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, and Kazakhstan. This event is seen as an important step in strengthening Montenegro’s international relationships.
The newly appointed ambassadors are Eva Ponomarenkova from Slovakia, Hamisa Rashed Ahmed Lebsaili Alshameili from the United Arab Emirates, Kim Hjong Tea from South Korea, and Daulet Batrashev from Kazakhstan. During the ceremony, President Milatović welcomed the ambassadors warmly and expressed his hopes that their engagement would contribute to enhancing political dialogue and strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In a statement issued by the President’s Office, the ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the reception and pledged to work diligently to improve the political, economic, and cultural ties between their respective countries and Montenegro.
Key Foreign Policy Priorities Outlined
President Milatović took the opportunity to inform the ambassadors about Montenegro’s key foreign policy priorities. Among these priorities are the goal of achieving membership in the European Union by 2028, enhancing credibility within the NATO alliance, fostering good neighborly relations, and actively participating in multilateral initiatives.
This meeting highlights Montenegro’s commitment to strengthening its international partnerships and promoting collaboration on various fronts. As the nation navigates its foreign policy objectives, the support from ambassadors of key countries will play a crucial role in advancing these goals and ensuring Montenegro’s strategic interests are effectively addressed.
