I feel so ugly and guilty that I didn’t have the discipline to stick to a diet or lose any weight.”

Childline’s Director, Shaun Friel, emphasized the importance of addressing these feelings, stating, “While it’s completely normal to have concerns, young people must know they’re not alone and that help is available.” He encouraged anyone feeling overwhelmed to utilize their services, which are available 24/7.

For parents, listening to children’s concerns without immediately offering solutions can foster a supportive environment.
