Adriatic Film & TV Awards Celebrate Best in Regional Cinema

The inaugural **Adriatic Film & TV Awards** (AFA) took place in **Porto Montenegro**, Tivtu, celebrating outstanding achievements in film and television from the region. The prestigious award for **Best Film** was bestowed upon **”Fiume o morte!”**, directed by **Igor Bezinović** and a collaboration among Croatia, Italy, and Slovenia.

In a night filled with recognition, **Lidija Kordić**, a rising star from Montenegro, earned the **Rising Star Award** for her performance in the film **”Radnička klasa ide u pakao.”** The award for **Best Actress** went to **Jara Sofija Ostan** for her role in **”Kaj ti je deklica,”** directed by **Urška Đukić**. Meanwhile, **Leon Lučev** took home the award for **Best Actor** for his compelling performance in the same film as Kordić.

Bezinović’s talents were further acknowledged as he received the **Best Director Award** for **”Fiume o morte!”** He also won the award for **Best Screenplay**, emphasizing his multifaceted contributions to the film.

The AFA Awards also highlighted **”Kaj ti je deklica”** as the **Best Debut Film**, showcasing the growing talent within the region. The title of **Best TV Series** was awarded to **”Sablja,”** a collaborative effort from Serbia and Bulgaria, created by **Vladimir Tagić** and **Goran Stanković**.

In the television category, **Milica Gojković** was honored as the **Best Actress** for her role in **”Sablja,”** while **Dragan Mićanović** was recognized as the **Best Actor** in a TV series for his performance in the same show.

The AFA Awards aim to establish a significant platform for films and series from the Adriatic region, helping them gain visibility and recognition on the international stage. This initiative marks the beginning of the international awards season, allowing regional filmmakers to showcase their work to a broader audience.
