Codis Launches as a Global CDMO for Spray Drying Solutions

Codis has officially launched as a global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), specializing in commercial-scale spray drying and particle engineering technologies. The company was formed through the merger of Particle Dynamics in the United States and the former EUROAPI facility located in Haverhill, UK. This strategic integration enhances Codis’s capacity to offer advanced services, including amorphous solid dispersions (ASD).

With three Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities in operation, Codis boasts a total manufacturing space of 40,000 m². The company serves around 50 pharmaceutical customers, producing over 5,000 metric tons of spray-dried products annually. Codis is committed to delivering high-quality solutions that enable pharmaceutical innovators to accelerate their products from development stages to market readiness.

Global Reach and Expertise

The facilities operated by Codis are based in St. Louis, Missouri, Seymour, Indiana, and Haverhill, UK. These sites have received audits and approvals from six international regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with stringent global standards. The company employs more than 300 staff across its operations, underscoring its significant workforce dedicated to supporting pharmaceutical advancements.

The Haverhill facility, which was acquired from EUROAPI in June 2025, brings over 30 years of experience in spray drying, continuous flow chemistry, and regulatory compliance. This site is also recognized as a primary global manufacturer of Sevelamer, showcasing Codis’s capability to produce high-quality products that meet international standards.
