Brainomix AI Software Boosts Stroke Recovery Rates Significantly

Brainomix, a leader in AI-powered imaging solutions for stroke and lung fibrosis, has gained significant attention following a recent study highlighting the effectiveness of its Brainomix 360 Stroke technology. The research, conducted by the Royal Berkshire Hospital, revealed that the software has tripled the number of stroke patients achieving functional independence, increasing the figure from 16% to an impressive 48%.
Impact of AI on Stroke Treatment
Further data from the largest evaluation of stroke AI imaging in real-world settings indicated that Brainomix 360 Stroke was linked to a more than 50% increase in mechanical thrombectomy procedures, a critical treatment for stroke patients. This technology serves as a comprehensive platform that utilizes advanced AI algorithms to provide clinicians with real-time interpretations of brain scans, thereby guiding treatment and transfer decisions for patients in both specialist and general hospitals.
David Hargroves, the NHS Clinical Director for Stroke, commented on the significance of this AI decision support technology. He stated, “This AI decision support technology is revolutionising how we help people who have been affected by stroke. It is estimated a patient loses around 2 million brain cells a minute at the start of a stroke, which is why quick diagnosis and treatment is so critical.” Hargroves emphasized that the AI software enables medical professionals to make faster and more informed treatment decisions.
Broader Implications for Healthcare
Dr. Michalis Papadakis, CEO and Co-Founder of Brainomix, expressed pride in the positive impact of the technology. He noted, “Brainomix is helping clinicians every day improve the level of care they can deliver to stroke patients in the UK and worldwide. We are delighted to see a focus on the unique and powerful impact that our technology is having on patient outcomes, validated by an expanding base of published, real-world evidence.”
Brainomix has established itself as one of the UK’s most successful AI healthcare companies, progressing from technology development to market launch. The organization has formed successful partnerships with NHS England and the Health Innovation Network, contributing to its growing influence in the healthcare sector.
The impact of Brainomix 360 Stroke extends beyond the UK, as it has been widely deployed across Europe and the United States. In these regions, it has received validation from top-tier stroke institutions, demonstrating similar clinical benefits in stroke care.
As stroke treatment continues to evolve, the adoption of AI technologies like those offered by Brainomix is paving the way for improved recovery outcomes and enhanced patient care, underscoring the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
