Vicky Pattison Moves Audience to Tears with Performance on Strictly
Vicky Pattison brought an emotional moment to the live broadcast of *Strictly Come Dancing* on November 2, 2025, following a heartfelt comment from judge Motsi Mabuse. The former reality star, known for her time on *Geordie Shore*, performed an American Smooth with her partner Kai Widdrington, captivating the audience with a Halloween-themed routine.
Dressed as a white witch, Pattison danced to Bonnie Tyler’s classic “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Despite her nerves about being the first performer of the evening, the couple received widespread acclaim, earning a high score of 31 and a standing ovation from the audience. Mabuse’s praise particularly struck a chord with Pattison, as she expressed hope that the contestant could make it to the final.
A Moment of Vulnerability
During the live segment, Mabuse told Pattison, “A few weeks ago, I couldn’t believe that you’d open our show. I loved the character play in the beginning, you did it so, so well. So for me, you are a contender for the final.” These words reduced Pattison to tears as she processed the compliment in front of the audience and viewers at home.
With tears in her eyes, Pattison spoke to host Claudia Winkleman, sharing her struggles with confidence: “I hated going first! Honestly, I loved this dance this week because for once I had a foundation to build on. I wasn’t just starting from scratch and feeling so inadequate. I was just desperate to prove that I have improved.”
Pattison’s emotional journey on the show has resonated with many viewers. Last week, she fought back tears as she reflected on her experiences in the entertainment industry, admitting to having lost her way at times. For Icons Week, she performed to Cheryl’s “Fight For This Love” and was visibly moved by a surprise video message from the singer.
Reflecting on Personal Growth
As she reflected on her past, Pattison acknowledged the challenges she faced early in her career. “I made some bad decisions,” she said. “I just think at that age I didn’t have the tools to navigate the space I was in. Now, I do my best to be a better version of myself, someone I can look in the mirror and be proud of.”
The emotional weight of her journey is evident in her performances, and Pattison emphasizes the importance of self-belief. “What I’ve learnt about myself is that with determination and a little bit of self-belief you can achieve stuff,” she stated, touching on the significance of having her family present in the audience for support.
Pattison’s journey on *Strictly Come Dancing* not only showcases her dancing skills but also highlights her resilience and personal growth. As the competition progresses, viewers are eager to see how she continues to evolve both on and off the dance floor.
