Sainsbury’s Discounts Cadbury Chocolates to 97p Ahead of Deadline

Sainsbury’s has significantly reduced the prices of numerous Cadbury chocolates to just 97p, creating excitement among shoppers as the limited-time offer is set to end soon. This promotion, which includes popular items such as Cadbury Twirl bites and Dairy Milk Buttons, allows customers to purchase these treats at a fraction of their regular prices.
The offer, which began this week, features a variety of Cadbury products priced at 97p, down from their usual prices of up to £1.95. This includes 100g bags of Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons and Crunchie Rocks, as well as Bournville Dark Chocolate Giant Buttons, making it an attractive option for chocolate lovers. The sale will conclude on Sunday, September 21, prompting many to act quickly to take advantage of the reduced prices.
To benefit from this promotion, shoppers must be Nectar card holders. Signing up for a Nectar card is free and allows customers to earn points on their purchases, which can be redeemed for discounts on future transactions. This loyalty scheme not only provides access to special offers but also enhances the shopping experience by rewarding regular customers.
Many shoppers have expressed their enthusiasm for the deal, with some praising it as “great.” One customer commented, “Great… got some from last time they had this offer,” while another humorously noted the irresistible nature of the products, saying, “Wish I never saw this, got a few packs today and the crunchy clusters my god! Finished 2 packs all by myself!”
Despite the positive feedback, not all customers were impressed. Some recalled that prices used to be lower, with one shopper stating, “I remember back in the day this was their regular price.” Nonetheless, the current discounts have drawn significant interest, especially as the festive season approaches.
The promotion aligns with a trend among supermarkets to offer flash sales on popular products. Earlier this month, Tesco reduced the price of Quality Street tubs to £2.95, allowing customers to stock up in preparation for Christmas. Sainsbury’s is also offering a 550g tub of Quality Street for £7, but with a Nectar card, customers can purchase it for just £4.50.
In addition to Sainsbury’s, other retailers are also joining the discount wave. B&M has cut the price of a Cadbury mini-eggs chocolate bar to merely 10p, illustrating the competitive landscape among supermarkets as they vie for customer attention.
As shoppers seek to maximize their savings, it is clear that promotions like these are not just about immediate discounts but also about building customer loyalty through rewarding shopping experiences. With the deadline for the current Sainsbury’s offer approaching, many are eager to take advantage of these sweet deals before they end.
