Expanded Flight Schedule and Seasonal Highlights
Jet2’s winter programme for Iceland will feature up to four weekly services during peak travel periods, including the half-term holidays and Easter. This expansion provides travelers with increased opportunities to explore Iceland’s stunning natural wonders and vibrant culture.
The Nordic destination is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, including breathtaking fjords and waterfalls, as well as its cultural offerings in the capital city, Reykjavik. Visitors will have the chance to experience the mesmerizing Northern Lights, along with iconic attractions such as the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. Travelers can choose between flight-only options or package holidays through Jet2 City Breaks, with a deposit starting at just £60 per person.
CEO Highlights Popularity and Choices
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, emphasized the popularity of the Iceland programme. He stated, “Our programme of flights and city breaks to Iceland continue to be hugely popular, thanks to its abundance of natural wonders.” He also pointed out that Reykjavik serves as an ideal city break destination, being the world’s northernmost capital.
Heapy noted, “Our Winter 26/27 programme to Iceland from London Stansted Airport provides customers and independent travel agents with a great choice of winter services and trips from the base.” The expansion is part of Jet2’s commitment to offering a comprehensive range of travel options from one of the largest UK airport bases.
