Chris Lloyd Joins Marex’s Global Capital Introduction Team

Chris Lloyd has officially joined Marex as part of its global capital introduction team, based in London. His primary focus will be on the EMEA region, where he will leverage over a decade of experience in hedge fund manager selection and co-investments. This strategic move is seen as a significant enhancement to Marex’s capabilities in institutional engagement.
Before joining Marex, Lloyd was a partner at Andromeda Capital Management, where he played a key role in business development. His previous experience includes serving as a director and member of the investment committee at M&G Alternatives. In this role, he was responsible for sourcing new investment ideas, overseeing the hedge fund portfolio, and leading strategic objectives. His career has also included senior allocator positions at Windmill Hill Asset Management, associated with the Rothschild Foundation, and Islandbridge Capital.
Expertise and Insights in Capital Introduction
Jack Seibald, the global co-head of prime services and outsourced trading at Marex, expressed enthusiasm about Lloyd’s arrival. In a statement on LinkedIn, Seibald noted, “We’re pleased to welcome Chris Lloyd to our growing global capital introduction team. Chris brings a wealth of allocator-side experience, having spent over a decade selecting hedge fund managers, constructing portfolios, and advising on co-investments for family offices and institutional investors.”
Lloyd’s understanding of investor decision-making processes and the specific needs of clients is expected to enhance Marex’s offerings significantly. Seibald emphasized that Lloyd’s background adds depth to the team’s capabilities, which support managers through institutional engagement.
Lloyd shared his excitement about joining Marex, stating, “I’m excited to have joined the Marex capital introduction team in London. I’ll be focused on EMEA and working closely alongside our global cap intro and prime services teams to support our clients.” His commitment to collaboration within the organization is indicative of his approach to fostering strong relationships with allocators and clients alike.
As Marex continues to expand its presence in the capital introduction space, Lloyd’s extensive experience is likely to play a vital role in shaping the firm’s strategy and enhancing its service delivery to clients across the EMEA region.
