Boško Laketić Appointed Head of URE Media Team
Boško Laketić has been appointed as the new head of the media team for the political party URA (Građanski pokret URA) following the Fourth Congress of the party. This decision was made during a meeting of the party’s Main Board, marking a significant step in the ongoing organizational changes within URE.
Born in 1993 in Mojkovac, Laketić completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown before obtaining a degree in history from the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić. A member of URE since 2016, he currently serves as the president of the Mojkovac local committee and holds a seat in the Mojkovac Municipal Assembly. His reappointment as head of the media team is a recognition of his contributions and those of his team during his previous term.
In his acceptance remarks, Laketić expressed gratitude to the members of the URE Main Board for their confidence in him and his team. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in pushing the boundaries of marketing within the Montenegrin political scene.
“URE has consistently challenged the long-standing established patterns in Montenegro. We represent a party that disrupts the status quo, opposing nationalism, populism, and crime, which has made us a target for various structures,” Laketić stated. He highlighted the recent release of communications that illustrate how public sentiment was shaped after the political changes in 2020, aimed at exerting pressure on URE.
Laketić noted that despite the party’s relatively small size, their commitment and passion for a better Montenegro for all citizens has remained strong. He expressed pride in the accomplishments achieved thus far and underscored the honor of being part of this ongoing narrative.
As URE navigates the complex political landscape in Montenegro, Laketić’s leadership of the media team will play a crucial role in shaping the party’s communication strategy and public image, especially in light of the challenges they face. Given the current political climate, his experience and dedication are expected to be vital assets for URE’s future initiatives.
