Aston Villa Secures €35 Million Deal for Forward Guessand

Aston Villa has reached an agreement for a transfer deal valued at €35 million (approximately $47 million) for forward Guessand. According to ESPN, the 24-year-old player is set to travel to Birmingham for a medical examination on Thursday, ahead of finalizing a five-year contract with the club.
Guessand enjoyed a standout performance during the 2024-25 season with French club Nice, where he scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in 33 appearances. His impressive form garnered significant attention from multiple clubs across Europe, including Crystal Palace and several others.
Despite interest from various teams, including a reported offer of €25 million from Crystal Palace, Guessand opted for a move to Aston Villa. He also declined a lucrative contract from Saudi Arabian club Neom, ultimately deciding to join Villa after discussions with manager Unai Emery.
The transfer marks a significant investment by Aston Villa, reflecting their ambition to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season. The agreement not only underscores Guessand’s potential but also highlights Villa’s commitment to securing top talent in a competitive market.
As the medical examination approaches, fans eagerly await confirmation of this exciting addition to the team’s roster.
