Ali Wentworth Showcases Lush Garden at $8 Million Home

Ali Wentworth, comedian and wife of Good Morning America anchor George Stephanopoulos, recently shared a stunning photo of their backyard, showcasing the beauty of their $8 million home. The expansive garden, described as a “mystical wonderland,” features a diverse array of flowers, trees, and bushes, creating a serene escape. A breathtaking sunrise served as a backdrop to the tranquil setting, which also included a glimpse of the couple’s new golden retriever puppy, Fig.
In her Instagram post, Wentworth humorously captioned the image: “It’s 5:30 am…PLEASE GO PEE PEE!!!!” This marks not the first introduction of Fig to the couple’s followers. The couple had previously introduced their new family member during a segment on GMA, where they expressed their excitement about the puppy’s arrival. They captioned snippets from the segment with, “Welcome to the family, Fig! Thanks to 1 Love 4 Animals for your amazing work and for bringing Fig into our lives.”
Fig’s Heartwarming Story
During their appearance on the morning show, Wentworth shared that Fig was initially a rescue dog, with a history of neglect. She explained that the puppy had been covered in fleas and ticks and was at risk of becoming a breeding dog. Wentworth and Stephanopoulos are currently training Fig, with each taking shifts for walks—Wentworth handling the morning routine and Stephanopoulos managing the evenings. Wentworth described her husband as having a soft spot for their new pet, stating, “Believe it or not, he’s the cuddler. He cuddles. He sits with his computer, and my reading glasses and has the dog on his lap. He’s mushy.”
Wentworth also noted Fig’s sweet personality, while Stephanopoulos added that she is “chill.” Despite initially wanting a male dog to balance their household of two daughters, Wentworth was charmed by Fig’s personality during their first meeting. “I looked at this little girl and she was like, ‘Hi! I might be cuter than everybody in this family!'” she recalled.
Remembering Cooper
Fig is not the couple’s first dog. They suffered a heartbreaking loss in May 2023 when their beloved dog, Cooper, passed away. Wentworth paid tribute to Cooper on social media, reflecting on their deep bond. She shared, “I lost my longtime companion. The greatest dog and integral part of our family.” Her emotional post described Cooper’s playful nature and his loving interactions with everyone who entered their home.
The couple often shared heartwarming moments with Cooper, including walks in Central Park, which fans eagerly followed. Wentworth’s heartfelt remembrance serves as a testament to the love they shared, as she concluded, “I will miss him with all my heart. See you on the other side, Coop! We still have many squirrels to chase….”
As Wentworth and Stephanopoulos welcome Fig into their family, they continue to celebrate the joy pets bring, while fondly cherishing the memories of their late dog.
