Spotify Launches Weekly Listening Stats for All Users Worldwide
Spotify has introduced a new feature called Listening Stats, enabling users to access weekly insights about their music listening habits. This tool is now available to both Free and Premium users in over 60 markets. It provides an overview of top artists, most-played songs, and personalized insights based on user activity from the past four weeks.
The weekly recap includes playlists curated from recent listening habits and features rotating highlights that may showcase milestones, new musical discoveries, or memorable fan moments. Users can conveniently share their statistics directly from the app to social media platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp. This new functionality aims to enhance the way listeners explore and revisit their musical tastes throughout the year, complementing Spotify’s annual Wrapped experience, which serves as a comprehensive summary of user activity.
How to Access Your Weekly Listening Stats
To view these insights, users can follow a simple process within the Spotify app:
1. Tap their profile image to open the main menu.
2. Select the “Listening Stats” tab.
3. Browse through their top artists, songs, and weekly insights.
4. Tap Share to post their stats or individual highlights.
This update marks the first time Spotify has placed weekly listening data prominently within the app, moving away from the reliance on third-party tools or waiting for the annual Wrapped rollout. By introducing Listening Stats, Spotify seeks to help users maintain an ongoing connection to their listening habits, similar to existing features like Daylist and Release Radar.
Enhancing Music Personalization and Shareability
As Spotify continues to evolve, this launch reflects a commitment to music personalization and enhancing shareability. The company is increasingly focusing on social features and discovery tools, reinforcing its position in the competitive music streaming landscape as it heads into 2026.
With Listening Stats, Spotify aims to provide valuable insights that empower users to engage with their music preferences in real-time. By fostering a deeper connection to individual listening habits, the platform hopes to enhance the overall user experience and encourage greater interaction within the music community.
