Lal PathLabs Announces Bonus Shares and Strong Financial Growth

Lal PathLabs has announced a significant financial update, revealing a remarkable increase in its net profit and the issuance of bonus shares. The company declared a net profit of ₹151 crore for the quarter, marking a rise from ₹129 crore in the same period last year, which translates to a growth rate of approximately 17%. Total revenue also saw a notable increase, climbing from ₹660 crore to ₹731 crore.
In addition to these impressive figures, Lal PathLabs reported an increase in its EBITDA, which rose to ₹224.3 crore from ₹202 crore. Despite the increase in earnings, the company’s EBITDA margin remained stable at 31% during the quarter. This consistency reflects effective cost management amid rising revenues.
Dividend Declaration and Bonus Shares
The diagnostic company also announced a second interim dividend of 70%, equating to ₹7 per share with a face value of ₹10. The record date for this dividend is set for November 7, 2025, with payments expected to be processed within the following 30 days. Earlier in July 2025, the company had declared a first interim dividend of ₹6 per share, along with a final dividend of ₹6 per share for March 2025.
Lal PathLabs is also making headlines with its decision to issue 83.7 million bonus shares, providing investors with one additional share for every share they currently hold, resulting in a 1:1 ratio. This initiative is expected to be beneficial for shareholders, as the bonus shares will be issued from the company’s securities premium account, valued at approximately ₹83.77 crore. The allocation of these shares is slated for completion by December 30, 2025.
Current Stock Performance and Shareholder Base
As of now, shares of Lal PathLabs are trading at approximately ₹3,090.6. The company has a strong promoter holding, with 53.21% of the shares owned by its promoters, complemented by over 100,000 retail shareholders. Notably, this marks the first instance in which Lal PathLabs has offered bonus shares to its investors, having previously focused solely on dividend distributions.
Investors are encouraged to consider the potential risks associated with stock market investments. As always, it is prudent to consult with a financial advisor or market expert before making any investment decisions.
