The Narberth Group of Churches is set to host a series of festive events and services as the Advent season begins. Starting on December 5, the community is invited to participate in various activities designed to celebrate the lead-up to Christmas.

On Friday, December 5, at 13:30, the Advent Course will commence at St Andrew’s Church in Narberth. This program is open to all members of the community, offering an opportunity for fellowship and reflection during the Advent period.

The following day, Saturday, December 6, a Christmas coffee morning will take place at 10:00 in the Masonic Hall, Narberth. Attendees can enjoy coffee while browsing stalls featuring festive goods. This event is a chance for locals to gather, socialize, and support community initiatives.

A highlight of the week will occur on Wednesday, December 10, at 19:00, also at St Andrew’s Church. An evening of Christmas songs—distinct from traditional carols—will be hosted, accompanied by mulled wine and mince pies. Entry is priced at £5 for adults, while children can join for free, making it an inclusive event for families.

Throughout the week, several church services are scheduled. On December 3 at 10:00, there will be a Holy Eucharist service at St Andrew’s Church. The following Sunday, December 7, services include a Holy Eucharist at St John’s Church, Templeton at 09:00, Morning Prayer at St Andrew’s Church at 10:00, a Holy Eucharist at Holy Cross, Robeston Wathen at 11:30, and Morning Prayer at St Elidyr’s Church, Ludchurch at 11:30.

In addition to the main events, the community can look forward to a Singing Group on the evening of Monday, December 8, geared towards individuals who enjoy singing. For details, interested participants may contact Daphne James or other church members.

Further activities include a Craft and Chat Group on Tuesday, December 9, at 13:30. For location information, attendees can reach out to Jacky at 07740 734542.

Visitors are welcome to explore the churches in Narberth, Robeston Wathen, and Minwear from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00 and 16:00. Templeton and Ludchurch Churches are open every Wednesday during the same hours.

For more information, contact Father Robert Moore at The Rectory, Adams Drive, Narberth, SA67 7AE, via email at [email protected] or by phone at 01834 861192. The Narberth Group of Churches looks forward to welcoming the community to these festive celebrations.
