Two Young Men Arrested for Violently Assaulting Local Resident

In Pljevlja, two young men, aged 20, have been arrested following a violent assault that left a 21-year-old man with serious injuries. The suspects, identified as P.G. and D.M., were taken into custody by officers from the Regional Security Center “West” after the victim was admitted to the General Hospital Pljevlja with head injuries.

The incident was reported to the police after hospital staff informed them that the injured man claimed his wounds resulted from a fall down the stairs. However, further investigation led officers to suspect that his injuries were actually sustained during a physical altercation at a local establishment.

Police sources revealed that the victim was assaulted by the two men, who allegedly struck him multiple times in the head. This continued even after he fell to the ground, raising serious concerns about the nature of the attack. The police quickly located and apprehended both suspects, who have prior records for criminal offenses.

The local prosecutor’s office has been notified about the case. Fortunately, the victim received medical attention and is not in life-threatening condition, according to the police.

Following their arrest, P.G. and D.M. were charged with violent behavior and severe bodily harm. The prosecutor has ordered their detention for up to 72 hours as investigations continue. Subsequently, the two men were brought before a judge at the Basic Court in Pljevlja, where they were ordered to remain in custody for a period of up to 30 days.
